Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19

Civil War Weekend at Lambert Castle, 10am-4pm
The Historical Society is teaming up with New Jersey 2nd Brigade to bring the Civil War to life all weekend long. Join us for infantry, artillery and signal corp demonstrations as well as a chance to experience camp life and even visit a field hospital. Free and open to the public.

Saturday June 8

Lambert Castle Concert Series: 6 p.m on Lambert Castle’s North Lawn.
Clifton Community Band presents, Music at the Castle: A Welcome to Summer Founded in 2002 and directed by Robert D. Morgan, the Clifton Community Band is a traditional concert band (brass, woodwinds and percussion). The band appears in the area and around the state performing a variety of music including classical, pop, big bands and marches. $15 donations requested. Rain date Sunday June 9.

 

Sunday June 23

Lambert Castle Concert Series: 5 p.m at Lambert Castle.
Sophia Agranovich is a multi-award winning virtuoso pianist, recording artist, educator and program director. A Steinway Artist, and a Juilliard graduate, she is “a bold, daring pianist in the tradition of the Golden Age Romantics”, “a tigress of the keyboard” – Fanfare. Ms. Agranovich has performed in USA, Europe, Israel, and Canada, and has collaborated with renowned musicians and members of major orchestras. Tickets $15

 

Sunday July 14

Lambert Castle Concert Series: 5 p.m at Lambert Castle.
Englewinds commissions and performs music by living composers, and specializes in music that creates environmental awareness. The ensemble has received commendation from the State of New Jersey Legislature and the Bergen County Freeholders (NJ) for its eco-music programs that have promoted environmental change in the state. Tickets $15

 

Friday and Saturday July 26-27

Shakespeare at the Castle
The Passaic County Historical Society will host ATC Studios’ Summer Shakespeare Conservatory with four performances at Lambert Castle.

Sunday July 28

Lambert Castle Concert Series: 5 p.m at Lambert Castle.

Annamaria Stefanelli, soprano,  and Rory Angelicola, tenor, return to the castle to present an afternoon of beautiful Italian arias and duets as well as other operatic favorites.  The performance will also include favorites from the classical American Musical repertoire.  Join us for an afternoon of moving music!   Tickets $15

Sunday August 11

Lambert Castle Concert Series: 5 p.m at Lambert Castle.
Gerard and Diane Barros, present One Fine Tapestry: A Carole King Tribute
Join this husband and wife duo as they celebrate the career of Carole King. This
tribute performance will not only include many of King’s own hits but also a selection
of chart topper she composed for other musical performers including the Drifters,

Sunday September 8

Lambert Castle Concert Series: 5 p.m at Lambert Castle.
Founded in 2005, Double Entendre Music Ensemble is a collective of like-minded musicians devoted to adventurous exploration of the double reed repertoire. Noted for its first-rate musicianship and creativity, the Ensemble illuminates classics, revives neglected music, and commissions new works for these soulful instruments. From concert halls to beer halls, in churches and bookstores, schools and parks, Double Entendre reaches a diverse audience wherever engaged listeners are found. Tuesday September 10

PCHS Annual Beefsteak: 6:30p.m. at the Brownstone (351 West Broadway, Paterson). A fun-filled evening of food and good company. Proceeds benefit the Passaic County Historical Society. Reservations are required. Ticket price $60. Reservations required.

 

Saturday October 19

Kid’s Harvest and History Day—the Legend of Sleepy Hollow at the Castle: 3p.m.-6 p.m. at Lambert Castle on the lawn. Usher in the Autumn with the Passaic County Historical Society with history, food and fun fall children’s activities. The day concludes at 5:30 pm as we read a version of Washington Irving’s classic story and sing some Halloween songs. You might even have a chance to meet the Headless Horseman in person! Bring your own blankets or lawn chairs. Recommended for children age 3-12 years. Donations requested. NO RAIN DATE

 

Friday November 1

Lambert Castle Holiday Boutique- Wine and Cheese Preview Night: 5p.m.-10p.m. at Lambert Castle. Usher in the Holiday Season with us. Enjoy wine and snacks as you preview the goodies at this year’s Holiday Boutique. Tickets are $15 (includes two return visits). Reserve tickets to guarantee admission.

 

Saturday and Sunday November 2-3

Lambert Castle Holiday Boutique Opening Weekend
The boutique offers shoppers an assortment of festive holiday gifts, jewelry, seasonal decorations, crafts, collectibles and gourmet food in the historic atmosphere and ambiance of Lambert Castle. Join us opening weekend. Doors open 10 a.m. to 5 pm. Opening weekend admission is $7, including two return visits.

 

November 6-December 1

32nd Annual Lambert Castle Holiday Boutique
The boutique offers shoppers an assortment of festive holiday gifts, jewelry, seasonal decorations, crafts, collectibles and gourmet food in the historic atmosphere and ambiance of Lambert Castle. Open Wednesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 pm. (Closed Thanksgiving Day). No strollers or carriages, please. Admission is $6 and includes two return visits.
